We couldn’t be more delighted to announce that Method4 have been named as finalists in two categories at this year’s Wales Technology Awards due to take place at Cardiff City Hall on 3rd May:

Best Application of Tech, Method4 and the National Assembly for Wales

We’re incredibly proud of our work collaborating with the National Assembly for Wales on their MySenedd Programme, which aims to help the National Assembly become a world class digital parliament by 2021. The first two projects developed for the programme, the Table Office system and TRO, have been an overwhelming success.

The Table Office digital service allows Assembly Members and support staff to submit items of business such as questions to Ministers, statements and motions. Developed using mobile first principles, Table Office provides an outstanding user experience on a variety of devices, allowing users to manage Assembly business from wherever they are.

TRO enables the Assembly transcription team to collaboratively transcribe Plenary and Committee debates, providing integrated translation between Welsh and English. TRO has been demonstrated to other parliaments through the Inter Parliamentary User Group and is now seen as a benchmark for translation systems.

Best Tech Workplace, Method4

At Method4 we know that to create amazing software our team need a low stress and happy workplace. We feel that as an employer we have a responsibility to safeguard our employees physical and mental health and combat the negative health effects that can come from working in a sedentary office environment. Our positive actions come in many different forms from having free fruit onsite to some of our epic charity challenges, which have seen our team take on the Three Welsh Peaks in 24 hours and walk from Merthyr to Cardiff Bay for some great causes.

Fingers crossed for the 3rd May!
