Microsoft SharePoint
Microsoft SharePoint is web server based technology that
brings together the enterprise features of collaboration, document
management and content management.
As well as offering feature rich
components out-of-the-box, it is also a highly flexible and
scalable platform for the development of collaborative workspaces,
document stores, dashboards, portals or content-managed
websites.

Our extensive expertise ranges from
large scale corporate websites, developed and implemented using
Moss 2007 and SharePoint 2010, to configuration of Intranets and
Extranets using Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) and SharePoint
Foundation 2010.
Our in depth knowledge of the
core SharePoint feature set means we can present clear options for
implementation from the outset. We can help you define a strategy
to make the best use of the SharePoint tools at your disposal,
enabling the creation of secure and easy-to-use solutions to suit
your specific business needs. We can also pass some of our
expertise on to you through training and mentoring.
SharePoint is built upon the Microsoft .NET framework and this
allows our expert .NET development team to build complex, feature
rich components to integrate seamlessly with the core SharePoint
deployment. Some of the components we have developed include
powerful and easy to integrate WebParts, features and custom page
layouts.
Some of our clients
Bacs
Bacs Payment Schemes Limited, the organisation behind Direct
Debit and Bacs Direct Credit, is a not for profit, membership
based, industry body, which in 2008 was responsible for processing
more than 5.6 billion UK payments, with a total value of £3.85
trillion. Since 2008 we have been responsible for the development
and maintenance of the Bacs corporate website and a number of
microsites using SharePoint.
The Bacs website leverages the power of .NET
integration to provide flexible features, enhancing in-house
control by Bacs over the daily management of website content. The
environment increases the speed of content deployment whilst
providing a controlled release process for content managers.
The Bacs corporate website features multiple tiered levels of
user access, online subscriptions and comprehensive FAQ sections.
It covers over four hundred pages of content and hundreds of
documents, both public facing and secure and has over 20,000
registered users accessing secure areas of the site. We have
developed custom components for the microsites to employ
integration with social media sites and visually rich 'rate this
page' functionality providing a more engaging environment.
eLINIA
We developed and
implemented the new eLINIA corporate website using SharePoint 2010.
This solution, which is tied into the existing SharePoint
intranet, provides the eLINIA marketing team with seamless access
to update and deploy new material onto the site through Active
Directory integration directly from the desktop.
Estyn
Estyn is the office of Her Majesty's Inspectorate for Education
and Training in Wales. This project demonstrates the power,
flexibility and integration capabilities of the SharePoint
and Microsoft suite of products.
Using WSS, a collaborative extranet has been created to provide
Virtual Inspection Rooms (VIR) allowing Inspection judgements to be
captured using Microsoft Word and shared with team members. .NET
WebParts provide complex functionality to collate judgements from
several Word documents, ultimately producing a final Inspection
Report. Online questionnaires are integrated within the VIR
allowing learners, parents and providers to complete pre and post
inspection questionnaires. The questionnaire structure and
questions are maintained via SharePoint lists. Microsoft .NET
components integrate with SharePoint to deliver the questionnaire
functionality and suite of Excel reports provides questionnaire
analysis.
