Putting e-Government into action
16 January 2006
Method4 was recently appointed by the Welsh Assembly Government to
develop a new data transfer facility for schools in Wales. The new
bilingual system known as DEWi (Data Exchange Wales Initiative),
will allow Schools, LEAs and the Welsh Assembly Government to share
and exchange statutory data files securely over the Internet,
helping to meet e-GIF requirements.
Craig Hughes, Method4 Account Director commented, "Method4 were
delighted to work with the Welsh Assembly on this significant new
development. This project demonstrates the Welsh Assembly's
commitment to harnessing new technology and the Internet in order
to put e-Government into action."
Method4's consultants undertook requirements analysis and
developed the software, working closely with partner, eLINIA, who provided hosting
services within their highly secure data centre.
"This project once again demonstrates that Method4's
collaborative and flexible approach can provide high quality
Information Solutions within extremely tight timescales."
